Proposed activity for Veterinary Department :

 

1.     Setting up of Carcass Utilization project :

2.     Setting up of Software for Veterinary clinic, snake park .

3.      Collection and Disposal of chicken waste from shops in hygienic manner.

4.     Organization of Dog show and various animal breeds fair as awareness project for citizens.

5.     Introduction of microchip in various species animals so as  to maintain identity.

6.     Setting up of Animal care centre for all species of animals.

7.     Veterinary ambulance with help of NGOs.  

OBJECTIVES – Veterinary Department  

  • To provide all veterinary clinical services to all pet animals .
  • Issuing dog license to pet owners.
  • Use of X- ray and sonography for accurate and prompt diagnosis.
  • Collection of  laboratory samples for diagnostic purpose.
  • All surgical interventions in pet animal.
  • Organizing meetings and seminars for citizens, children to create awareness in respect to animal care, diseases prevention and  animal health management.
  • Treatment of animals and birds from Snake-park.
  • Issuing certificate to dead pet animals and make scientific burial at pets cemetery.
  • Rescue and treatment of  strays animals coming across accident.
  • Ante-mortem Inspection of animals arrived for slaughter and Post mortem inspection during dressing of carcass so as to produce wholesome  meat which is fit for human consumption.
  • Issuing license to meat shops so as to ensure good quality  and safe meat in customers hand.
  • Taking human health care to prevent possible pollution arising from slaughter business.
  • Seizing stray cattle on road and from traffic and corporation tree plantations and put into cattle pond. 
  • Control of stray and ownerless animals.
  • Animal birth control program in stray dogs and cats so as to prevent unwanted population.
  • Organizing  audio-visual lectures for school children to educate in respect of diseases transmitted from animal to human beings.
  • Organization of Anti-rabies camps for Pet animals to combat Rabies disease and FMD vaccination camps in cattle in villages. 
  • Treating animals with Ayurwedic and homoeopathic medicines which is safe , effective and painless for animals.
